FAQ
What is a Cannabinoid?
A cannabinoid is a naturally occurring, biological compound. They are fatty and have a critical role within our central nervous system and immune system. There are hundreds of different cannabinoids. These naturally occurring compounds are found within the Cannabis Sativa plant, although they are naturally occurring from other organic sources as well. These compounds are also produced naturally within our bodies.
What Is The ECS? - The Endocannabinoid System
The Endocannabinoid System is a system found in the human body. The system is made up of endocannabinoids which bind to receptors and receptor proteins found in the central nervous system or peripheral nervous system. The ECS was discovered by researchers in the 1990’s while studying the effects of THC.
The short time during which the ECS has been studied has resulted in findings that indicate the ECS may maintain homeostasis and regulate cognitive and physiological processes. These processes could include pre and postnatal development, pregnancy, and fertility. It could also include regulating the immune system, sensations of pain, memory, mood, and appetite.
What is HEMP (Cannabidiol)?
Cannabidiol is a cannabinoid found in hemp plants. The oil gets extracted from its leaves, flowers and stalks. Cannabidiol interacts with the neurological endocannabinoid system. The effect hemp has on this system is primarily therapeutic. The interaction between this body system and hemp is natural and affects the entire body. It is important to note that cannabidiol from hemp plants is not the same thing as THC from marijuana plants. Hemp has no psychoactive effects on the human body.
Full Spectrum or Broad Spectrum? What’s the Difference?
Full-Spectrum or Broad-Spectrum are two words used to describe hemp oil. Hemp oil contains cannabinoids, a spectrum of cannabinoids. Sometimes, hemp oil will contain a trace amount of the THC oil, but less than 0.3%. These oils are considered full-spectrum. The small percentage of THC means that the oil is not a controlled substance within the United States.
Broad-Spectrum hemp oil contains none of the THC cannabinoid. The cannabinoid is avoided to reduce complications. Our oils are broad-spectrum. This allows us to provide consumers with the Hemp benefits, minus the complications associated with THC.
Is HEMP Oil Legal?
A common question regarding hemp oil is whether the oil is legal. In December of 2018, the Federal Farm Bill allowed hemp taken from hemp plants legal. This has resulted in a drastic rise in hemp products. Gummies are an especially popular hemp product. All hemp products are legal, assuming that they contain less than 0.3% THC.
Will using HEMP get me "High"?
Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the cannabinoid that results in the ‘high’ feeling. It provides this sensation because the cannabinoid is psychoactive. According to the Farm Bill, passed in December of 2018, hemp products can not contain more than 0.3% THC. This is a minimal amount that is not capable of providing the intoxicating feeling associated with THC use.
Our products do not contain any THC. Although our broad-spectrum hemp oil does not contain THC, it does contain a vast amount of cannabinoids. These cannabinoids may create the ‘entourage effect’.This will result in calmness, but not a feeling of being ‘high’.
When Will the Effects of HEMP Kick in?
Your experience will vary based on body mass, health condition, height, weight, and potency of the product. There is no ‘high’ associated with hemp products, but the products will help maintain normalcy within your body.
There are two methods we recommend for taking our hemp oil. The first is to start with a regular dose of low-potency oil. The second is to start with a low dose of our higher potency oil. Over time, you may increase the dosage as necessary.
Hemp Plants vs. Marijuana: What Is the Difference?
These two plants derive from the Cannabis Sativa family. The primary difference between these two plants is the level of tetrahydrocannabinol found in the plant. Marijuana plants contain illegal amounts of the psychoactive cannabinoid. The Agricultural Act of 2014 dictates that legal hemp plants contain less than 0.3% THC.
Do I Need A Prescription for Hemp Products?
Hemp products are not a controlled substance, therefore you do not need a medical card, doctor’s note, or anything like that. Provided that the plant utilized to create the product contained less than 0.3% THC, the product contains no marijuana.
Our products eliminate THC altogether. That means there is no trace of the cannabinoid in any of our products. This ensures compliance with local, state, and federal legislation.
Will Hemp Oil Appear in A Drug Test?
Even broad-spectrum hemp oils, which are free of THC, contain small amounts of CBN. CBN is a cannabinoid deriving from THC. The presence of this cannabinoid may trigger a positive result on a THC drug test. Before purchasing a hemp product, review the lab reports. This allows you to check whether the product contains CBN. It is also important to speak with your employer or doctor before using any hemp products.
